Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (SNBT) dilaksanakan melalui Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK), yaitu tes terstandar untuk mengukur potensi kognitif, penalaran matematika, serta kemampuan literasi dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. UTBK bertujuan untuk menilai kemampuan berpikir logis, pemecahan masalah, serta kemampuan belajar yang tinggi sehingga dapat memahami materi yang akan diajarkan pada program studi spesifik. Tes Potensi Skolastik (TPS) mengukur kemampuan kognitif yang diperlukan untuk menunjang keberhasilan di pendidikan formal, khususnya di perguruan tinggi. Aspek yang diujikan meliputi:
